What is Paratha
Made of oil and flour, repeatedly layering dough and oil, parathas are a flat, flaky bread usually stuffed with boiled potatoes or other vegetables. Parathas can also be eaten plain with butter. This popular Indian bread first found its way into existence from Peshawar as a hearty breakfast food indigenous of Punjabi cuisine. Depending on one’s preference this fried flat bread was stuffed as previously mentioned or even covered in yogurt and pickles. It became popular all over northern India and is now one of the most popular breakfast dishes found throughoutIndia. Parathas can be shaped in any manner and although are most popular as a breakfast food, have often been used as a side dish with other meals.
