If you’re trying to get rid of medium-to-large household items, the Internet can be a great resource.  You can look up prices to find out how much to ask, and you can even advertise your possessions for sale on the computer.  The same is true if you’re looking to buy something.  Recently I was on the lookout for luggage for sale, and I found a great set online for a very reasonable price.  Best of all, because I was looking at a local web site, I didn’t need to pay outrageous shipping fees.  I’d definitely recommend using the Internet to buy/sell items to other people.
