The raise of broadband
The use of high speed DSL and Cable providers has become a very powerful thing. These days people conduct all sorts of business online. Everything from the trading of stocks to the applications for various jobs all occur online. Because more important things are going on in the virtual world, speed has become more important. We do not want to wait for things to be delivered or received. As the Internet has grown, so has the speed at which we access it. Remember the days when you had to wait up to 5 minutes for your computer to boot and then another 10 minutes to find a dial up line that was not busy. It is great to have broadband.
