Visiting the zoo - family fun at Dickerson

Just about everyone loves a trip to the zoo, especially if that zoo has a variety of different animals that appeal to everyone’s tastes. This is why the Dickerson Park Zoo, located in Springfield and built in 1922, is such a popular attraction. Vacationers to the city travel there, and so do the locals. There is always something new to see at the zoo. Best of all, admission is priced reasonably, so you won’t break the bank when you bring the whole family. While at the zoo, you will be treated to more than 160 different species of animal, each divided into their respective geographic areas. If you want to see kangaroos, you head over to the Australia exhibits, if you want to see lions and cheetahs, you can go over to the African section. Those who want a closer look at the animals that live in North America, and in Missouri in particular, can visit the Missouri Habitat. There, you will find coyotes, bears, mountain lions, and more. Just about every type of animal you want to see can be found at the zoo. A trip to the zoo is a pleasant way to spend some time with the family, and everyone is sure to have a great time.
