Beware of shrouded loss mitigation training programs which sell you a book, software or online training course without providing ongoing support and services. These companies claim that once you have purchased and completed their product or service, you are now an independent expert. However, it is not wise to counsel people who are facing the threat of loosing their property with inadequate training. A book or self-paced course is not sufficient. Foreclosure laws and procedures may change. And, potential foreclosures are not a cookie cut procedure. Thus, you find yourself giving old news that hurts the homeowner and doesn’t make you any money.
