I’m going to try to incorporate more humor into my next set of presentations for the Center for Business. The subject matter (network security) is pretty tedious to start with, and the surveys we collected last time said that the information was really good but that my presentation was kind of dry. I think maybe if I include some funny clips or slides now and then it might spice things up a little bit.

I admit that I tend to get very much into the fine details of the subject, sometimes at the expense of holding participants’ attention. They’ll have all of the detail in the handouts anyway so it’s not like I have to cover every single jot and tiddle.
