The basic idea for using stun guns is to disrupt a person’s body communication system. Stun guns will generate high voltage, and a low amperage electrical charge which means that the charge has a lot of pressure behind it, but not a lot of intensity. Holding the trigger while the stun gun is pressed against your attacker causes the charges to pass into the attacker’s body. This will occur even through heavy clothing and skin. However, the attacker will not suffer extensive damage unless the stun gun is pressed against the body for an extended period of time. They will only experience a state of confusion.
