Prostate Cancer Treatment
Prostate cancer only affects men and forms in the cells of the prostate gland. This type of cancer is more common in older men. As prostate cancer progresses is has the ability to spread to other organs such as the lymph nodes. Treatments for prostate cancer can involve surgery, radiation therapy, and hormone therapy. Patients can have a combination of any of these three treatments. Prostate cancer has different stages. The stage of cancer a person is in will determine the proper treatment. For late stages of prostate cancer, an alternative cancer treatment exists that may help to treat prostate cancer.
