For those not yet familiar with business matters, SBA stands for the Small Business Administration. The SBA has what is called a 504 Program that helps underprivileged communities survive and thrive by becoming more economically developed. If you aspire to be a business owner but find it a struggle to do so within your community, you may wish to seek further SBA 504 Program Information and Lender information. Depending on your community’s public policy goals, you may even have more chance of qualifying for the program if you are a woman, minority, or veteran. You will need to contribute at least 10% equity should you be able to participate in the program.
