Dining Out is What You Make It
Although I do not usually consider myself a difficult person, I am fussy about dining out. There is a reason for this, and it is experience. Years ago I would sit still for being seated next to the rude couple with the six unruly children. It never bothered me to be placed next to the kitchen, under unflattering restaurant lighting fixtures. After several uncomfortable meals I finally learned to ask for better seating. If I do not get it, I eat somewhere else. Better to be comfortable and dining under flattering light at a sidewalk cafe than be miserable in a four star eatery.
