Am I Able to Prepare Tax Returns?
I lost my job a few months ago and have had a lot of trouble finding a new one. I continue to look but my hopes are fading quickly. I have been trying to earn money any way I can in order to keep my bills paid. I have a few people in my neighborhood that I do cleaning for. I am really good on the computer and have always prepared my own tax returns. The software that is available makes it so easy. I am wondering if I can legally prepare other people returns and be paid for it. It seems that I read somewhere that it is not legal to do this.
